Description
Killer Instinct came to the SNES in 1995, a year after its debut on the arcade. Developed by Rare and published by Nintendo, this port for a home console was proposed to capture the essence of the bloody fighting game original and the technical limitations of the SNES.

The combo system, based on the combination of buttons, allows you to perform devastating attacks and special moves spectacular. The health bar is divided into two sections adds a touch of strategic combat, as each section represents a limb of the character and its depletion can leave you vulnerable.
The game offers several game modes, including an arcade mode for one player, a versus mode for two players and a training mode. It also features a combo system and secret codes to unlock characters and additional scenarios.
Killer Instinct for SNES was a commercial success, selling over a million copies. Although some critics considered it inferior to the arcade version due to its graphics and sound simplified, others praised its gameplay is solid and their system of combos innovative.
Killer Instinct for SNES is the only version of the game available for Nintendo's console. However, the game's original arcade was re-released in 2013 for Xbox One and PC as part of the Killer Instinct Definitive Edition, which includes graphics and enhanced sound, as well as new characters and game modes.
